Rehearsal Room Refund Policy and Terms and Conditions

Your Booking

At the time of booking the customer will be required to pay the full rehearsal amount.

This is non-refundable so please only book if you are certain of your booking.

We use “PayPal” – a secure payment system.

An email will be sent at the time of booking detailing exactly what your booking is and a copy will be sent to Orchard Rehearsal who will create an invoice detailing your booking.

This invoice will then be sent to the customer using the email provided at the time of booking.

Changing a Booking

Bookings that are due to commence within 7 full days or more can be changed (subject to availability) at the studio’s discretion. This is because some slots are in high demand.

If you are late when your booking starts you will be charged from the time your booking starts.

At the discretion of the rehearsal manager and subject to availability you may be able to book extra time which is chargeable.

Cancellation Policy

Due to limited spaces we can not offer refunds for rehearsals.

If there is a problem with your booking please contact us immediately.

Text messages are acceptable; please state your name, date and time of the rehearsal, or alternatively phone calls (leave a message if no one answers), writing to the premises (please put the date on the letter) or email to info@orchardrehearsal.co.uk.

Cancellation by The Premises

Orchard Rehearsal reserve the right to cancel a hiring by written notice, email or telephone call to the Hirer in the event that we reasonably consider:

a) such hiring may lead to a breach of the licensing conditions, or other legal or statutory requirements,

b) unlawful or unsuitable activities may take place at the premises as a result of the hiring,

c) the premises have become unfit for the use intended by the hirer. (In any such case the hirer shall be entitled to a refund of any hire fees already paid, but we shall not be liable for any resulting direct or indirect loss or damages whatsoever).

Care and Use of Rooms and Facilities

We ask that all users take care of the rooms and equipment, as well as being courteous to other users. Please ensure you leave at least 15 minutes at the start and end of your session for setting up and packing down. Please ensure that both doors to your room are shut before starting to play. If anything gets spilled either on the floor or on the equipment, please let us know straight away – don’t leave it till the end of your session. This will minimise staining to the carpet. Please clear your rubbish from the rooms. Bins for rubbish and recycling are located in the kitchen area.

Damage to Rooms or Equipment

If any walls, fittings or equipment are damaged during your session, please let us know straight away. Customers will be asked to pay for repairs, but we promise we will try to keep the costs to a minimum and we will provide two written quotes to demonstrate the costs. Bands might be asked to leave an item of their own equipment as security until payment for repairs has been settled.

Hire Equipment

We try and maintain the equipment to a good standard however we cannot always guarantee the equipment to be in perfect working order or free from defects. Some of the studio guitar amplifiers contain valves and have a “stand by switch”. Please take extra care when using valve amplifiers – if you are unsure about the correct procedure for using a valve amp please ask. Misuse of the amps can result in premature valve failure. As a result if a valve amp fails during a rehearsal we may not be able to repair the amp during your booking. When using amp cabs please match the “ohms, impedance” to match your amplifier – again if you are unsure please ask. Drum heads are replaced as and when they are needed, don’t expect the drum kits to have fresh new heads on for every rehearsal.

Parking

There are other businesses operating on site and although there is ample parking please be considerate and make sure you are not blocking entrances or rights of way.

Smoking, Alcohol and Drugs

Customers are asked to respect that Orchard Studios is a smoke-free and drug-free workplace. You may smoke outside; a smoking bin is provided next to the main entrance. We are not licensed premises for alcohol, but alcoholic drinks purchased somewhere else may be brought in with you. Use of illegal drugs is not allowed in the rooms; if you are found to be using drugs inside the building you will be asked to leave.

Food and Drink

Free tea and coffee is available for bands and musicians in the kitchen area. Please help yourself and wash up your things afterwards. Snacks and cold drinks are available in our vending machine. You may take cans, bottles etc into the rooms. Hot food and drink must be consumed in the kitchen.
